Commissioners and Columbus Urban League Partner to Remove Barriers to Housing Opportunities

April is Fair Housing Month in Franklin County and this year, Franklin County Commissioners and the Columbus Urban League are partnering to remind the community that the Federal Fair Housing Act, signed into law on April 11, 1968, makes it unlawful to discriminate in housing transactions based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, or family status.

County Agencies, Organizations Raise Awareness About Prevalence of Child Abuse

Nationally, three million reports of child abuse and neglect are made every year. In Ohio, every ten minutes a child is abused and here in Franklin County, 8,562 cases of child abuse and neglect were reported in 2010.
