Commissioners Approve 2013 County Budget

Emphasizing how Franklin County’s investments serve children and vulnerable residents, protect communities and the environment, and foster job creation and economic growth, County Commissioners unanimously approved the 2013 Franklin County Budget at their last meeting -- and last vote -- of the 2012 calendar year.

Franklin County to host National Convention of County Commissioners in 2017

County Administrator Recommends Austere Budget for 2013

Fully realizing the impact of $41 million in state funding reductions in Franklin County next year along with flat revenues compared with 2012, continued unfunded mandates and no growth in real estate property tax revenues, Franklin County Administrator Don Brown presented commissioners with a 2013 Budget today which provides for essential public safety and safety net services for the County’s 36 agencies and departments.

IMAGINE Art Exhibit Comes to the Franklin County Courthouse

IMAGINE is an exhibition, coordinated by Franklin County Commissioner Marilyn Brown and the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE)’s Community Arts Education program (formerly administered by the Greater Columbus Arts Council), of artists ages 5-21, who will use recycled, upcycled, or repurposed materials in a display of three-dimensional and kinetic sculptures and installations that invite viewers to let the mind wander and the soul wonder.
