Today, the Franklin County Commissioners approved a grant to A Kid Again, which fosters hope, happiness, and healing for children with life-threatening conditions and their families by providing therapeutic recreational experiences.  A Kid Again has been working in Franklin County for more than 25 years, allowing participating families to enjoy family-oriented adventures, including virtually and with Adventures-In-A-Box that create memories to last beyond the child’s life expectancy.

During a difficult time in which many families have been struggling due to the COVID economy and hit with unexpected medical costs because of the pandemic, this grant will provide for 24,000 experiences for 400 local families, supporting their social, emotional, mental, and economic health.

This funding is being made available via funding from the American Rescue Plan.  You can read the full text of the resolution here or learn more about how the commissioners are using the American Rescue Plan to help our community recover at Recovery.FranklinCountyOhio.gov.
