The Franklin County Commissioners honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and look to his example for inspiration on how to address the challenges facing our nation. Dr. King said that he was “choosing to live my life for those who have been left out,” and that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is ‘what are you doing for others?’” These tenets of service to neighbor and community form a roadmap for how we should consider everything that we do, and the commissioners are dedicated to leading by example in this way.
All county offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.
