At this unprecedented moment in American history, the Franklin County Commissioners honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and look to his example for inspiration on how to address the divisions facing our nation today. Dr. King said that “Everyone can be great because everyone can serve,” and that “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” These tenets of service and love should be the roadmap for how we move forward as a nation, in Franklin County, and as individuals, and the commissioners are dedicated to leading by following Dr. King’s example in this way.
All county offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.
