Commissioners’ Statement on Labor Day

As the birthplace of the American Federation of Labor and the United Mine Workers of America, Central Ohio has a unique and important place in the history of the American labor movement.  The right to bargain collectively is among the most important in our nation.  The Franklin County commissioners honor the men and women of labor who built a new middle class in America even as they built the country itself, and wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day.
 
All county offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.
