The Board of Commissioners would like to thank the voters of Franklin County for once again showing overwhelming support for the Senior Options levy. Since 1993, Senior Options has helped residents age 60 and over maintain their independence by providing services that include medical transportation, homedelivered meals, homemaker services, personal care services, caregiver relief/respite care, adult day service, emergency response systems and minor home repair.
We are proud that Franklin County maintains the highest percentage in the state of those 65 and older still living in their home. Home is where most of our seniors want to remain, and through this levy passage and the increase in funding, home is where our growing number of seniors will be able to remain for at least the next five years. In addition to remaining at home being the most desired option for our seniors, it is also the most cost-effective option for taxpayers. Thank you again to the voters of Franklin County!
