FRANKLIN COUNTY COURTHOUSE HIGH STREET ENTRANCE TO CLOSE ON MONDAY

Starting next week, construction activity related to the renovation of the Hall of Justice building (369 S. High St.) will increase to include street level activities as well as the installation of the building’s new curtain wall overhead. In an effort to ensure the public’s safety upon entering and exiting the Downtown Government Center, the main County Courthouse entrance (373 S. High St.), marked by two revolving doors, will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5. The closure will remain in effect indefinitely.

Building visitors and employees will be able to enter the Government Center through the Pavilion Entrance (365 S. High) and the Common Pleas Courthouse (345 S. High St.), both located on opposite corners of Mound and High Streets. The construction does not require closure of the entrance to the adjacent Municipal Court building (375 S. High St.).

Visitors primarily affected by the closure are those visiting the Auditor, Clerk of Courts, Commissioners, Recorder and Treasurer’s offices as well as the Probate and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts located in 373 S. High St. Information on parking for the Downtown Government Center and directions to the Pavilion entrance and Common Pleas Courthouse are available here.

The renovation of the Franklin County Hall of Justice building is expected to be complete this fall. The repurposed facility will feature a first floor conference facility, the Adult Probation Department and the Law Library.
