BOIL ALERT CONTINUED for nearly 200 Homes in Southwest Franklin County

As a result of a water main break which occurred yesterday, Tuesday, 10/21, for which water sample test results are still pending, the Franklin County Department of Sanitary Engineering is extending the precautionary boil alert through tomorrow morning, Thursday, 10/23, for residents of the following streets on the county’s southwest side:
  • All homes on the north side of Sullivant Avenue between Inah and Redmond Avenues.
  • All homes on the following streets between Sullivant and Owen Avenue:
                                 o Inah
                                 o Postle
                                 o Fernhill
                                 o Evergreen Terrace
                                 o Woodlawn
                                 o Hiler
                                 o Redmond

Residents are required to boil their water vigorously for one minute before using it in food preparation or drinking. Another advisory will be provided when the alert has been lifted. The water is safe for showers or bathing.
