Commissioners Oppose Proposed Changes to Tax-Exempt Status of Municipal Bonds

Franklin County is now the fastest growing county in Ohio. Tomorrow, citing concerns over the potential for additional pressure on the County’s already-constrained budget, Franklin County Commissioners are expected to approve a resolution supporting the efforts of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) to oppose proposed Federal changes to the tax-exempt status of Municipal Bonds.

Franklin County Budget & Economic Advisory Panel Named

(Columbus, Ohio) Today, Franklin County Commissioners named nine members to the County’s newly-created Budget & Economic Advisory Panel who will analyze the County’s fiscal condition to determine if an imbalance exists between annual operating revenues and expenditures and to present the Board of Commissioners with recommendations to address any fiscal gap.
