Franklin County Commissioner Marilyn Brown views every policy initiative through a lens of social justice and how it will positively impact every resident, every day – a mindset shared by her grandson, Max, who gave her a mandate one day when he declared, “You are doing a lot of things. You should take the good things that work and do more of that.”
Marilyn’s commitment to upholding fundamental human rights and equality for all comes from her family's tradition of Tikkun Olam, or “Repairing the World”, and she carries it with her as she works on behalf of women's rights, diversity and inclusion for all people, and access to quality education, housing, and transparent government.
